Recent Equipment Donations Will Boost Paramedic and Dental Programs
CONCORD – NHTI – Concord’s Community College has recently received two generous in-kind donations of equipment from local businesses to benefit our Paramedic Emergency Medicine and Dental programs:
- Stewarts Ambulance has donated a stretcher, valued at $4000, to the NHTI Paramedic Emergency Medicine department (pictured).
- Cornerstone Periodontics has donated a KAVO Nomad Pro2 x-ray handheld portable dental x-ray machine, valued at $6,500, to our Dental
“The importance of donations is at least three-fold,” said Dr. Mark Rubinstein, chancellor of the Community College System of New Hampshire and interim president of NHTI. “The first is that it ensures that the commitment to quality reflected in the challenging, real-world education provided by our faculty is complemented by current, industry-standard equipment and tools. The second is that these gifts allow us to sustain affordable education and access for our students, and the third is that our partners and donors demonstrate the shared responsibility that we all have for the communities that we serve. That part of the education is invaluable to their lives as citizens as much as it is to their professional careers.”
“NHTI thrives on generous donations like these to keep our students on the cutting edge of medical and dental research,” said Dr. Andrew Fisher, vice president of Academic Affairs at NHTI. “Without these in-kind donations of equipment and tools, our programs would not be able to provide the excellent training to our student and the future medical workers and first responders of New Hampshire.”
